Tomorrowland Movie in Theaters Today
Last month I had the opportunity to visit Disney World to get a sneak peek preview of the new Tomorrowland movie. I didn’t get to see much of it, about 10 minutes or so, but what I did see made me want to head to the theater tonight to see the rest of it. In case you didn’t already know, it’s opening day for Tomorrowland!
The Tomorrowland movie is a mystery-adventure developed by Damon Lindelof, Brad Bird, and Jeff Jensen starring Academy Award winner George Clooney, based on a box that was accidentally discovered in a closet at Disney Studios. The box contained models, blueprints, photographs, and letters all related to the inception of Tomorrowland. Lindelof’s thoughts about what mysteries the box might hold was the jumping-off point for the story of the Tomorrowland movie.
Since I haven’t seen but a few minutes of the Tomorrowland movie, I can’t away many details about the film, but I can tell you that the few minutes I saw intrigued me enough to come home and tell my family about it. I was even clever enough to talk my newly 7-year old son in to watching it on his birthday. He loves going to the movies so it wasn’t too difficult.
The movie is rated PG and from what I could tell, is a great movie for the entire family.
Although I’m more of a thrill-seeker kind of gal, while I was at Disney’s Magic Kindgom last month, I decided to ride the Carousel of Progress in Tomorrowland. It was a nice change of pace from the busyness of the parks and I enjoyed seeing things how they were before my time. It’s amazing how much technology has made life so much different for us. I’m definitely thankful for the luxuries of modern technology. I can’t imagine life without the Keurig and iPhone.
If you’ve already seen the Tomorrowland movie, I’d love to know what you thought about. Feel free to leave your thoughts about the movie in the comments section below.
