Show Your Support for the Denny's No Kid Hungry Campaign
This is a partnered post. As always, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
If I could, I would make sure every child had access to food. If I could, I would ensure that parents had a way to provide for their families. If I could, I would find a way to make hunger go away completely.
But since I can’t, I find ways to partner with local businesses to help those that I can within my own community. That’s why I’m proud to be a part of Denny’s Diner Blogger Ambassador Council. In addition to making it easy to donate at a store level while consumers are enjoying their meals, consumers can also donate online.
When I look at the statistics about my home state of Texas, it truly makes my heart sad. I don’t understand how in this great country we live in, that 1 out of every 4 children in my state struggles with hunger.
During the month of September you can do good by dining out and supporting the No Kid Hungry Campaign. Through the end of the month, participating Denny’s restaurants nationwide will be selling a sheet of coupons at the store level in support of No Kid Hungry’s efforts to help provide for the more than 16 million American children struggling with hunger. For just a $3 donation, guests will receive $9 worth of coupons redeemable at participating Denny’s restaurants. Every dollar donated helps feed one child up to 10 healthy meals. In addition to donating at a participating restaurant, you can donate online at www.dennys.com/nokidhungry.
At the end of the month I will be hosting a No Kid Hungry event at a local Denny’s restaurant in my area. If you are in the greater Houston area and are interested in attending, please feel free to reach out and I’ll put you on the RSVP list. During this event I will be sharing statistics about hunger in my area and giving guests an easy way to donate. Denny’s will provide the food for the event, and I’ll even have some swag bags to hand out. I hope to see you there!
