During the holidays my home is filled to the brim with sweet treats. I like baking and cooking with seasonal flavors and I love the way this Peppermint Mocha Frosting tastes on homemade sugar cookies. Y’all, it’s so good.
What makes this Peppermint Mocha Frosting a bit different from your traditional frosting recipe is that I used International Delight(R) Peppermint Mocha to give it a splash of seasonal flavor. While you’re making delicious sugar cookies for this Peppermint Mocha Frosting, enjoy a warm cup of coffee with either International Delight(R) Peppermint Mocha or International Delight(R) REESE’S Peanut Butter Cup. Because why not stir liquid holiday cheer into your coffee? It’s the ultimate way to make your cup of coffee absolutely perfect each and every time.
If you’re not a fan of sugar cookies, try it on cupcakes! Either way, it’s delicious. But a little goes a long way, so don’t go overboard. It’s super sweet with a slight peppermint flavor and complements the sugar cookies just perfectly.
Peppermint Mocha Frosting
- 1/2 cup room temperature butter
- 3 1/2 cups of powdered sugar
- pinch of salt
- 1/2 cup International Delight(R) Peppermint Mocha
- Add all ingredients into a medium-sized bowl and mix with an electric mixer until light and fluffy. Let sit for 20 minutes and mix by hand before using.
If the frosting comes out too thick add a bit more flavored creamer. If the frosting comes out too thin add a bit more sugar.
Until a couple of years ago I had no idea how easy it was to make homemade frosting. Now, I prefer it to the store bought kind when time allows. You can make just about any flavor you want depending on what mood you’re in.
